International Adoption Fee Schedule

LSSMN Fees For Minnesota Families

All fees payable with personal check, VISAŽ or MasterCardŽ, and are subject to change. Service fee disclosure, as required by Minnesota statute §259.37, follows:

Registration: $50
There is a one time, nonrefundable registration fee for all programs (except Re-Applications). Due with completed registration form.

Application: $500
This fee covers costs associated with the opening of the adoption file, processing the application materials, securing references and performing background checks. This fee is non-refundable once application processing begins. Due with application.

Adoption Study: $3,000
The fee includes 18 hours of adoption group education (pre-adoption and cross-cultural), social work interviews and study document preparation. The first half of the fee ($1,500) is due prior to attending the Adoption Education workshop and the second half is due upon completion of the Adoption Study.

NOTE: The Re-application Adoption Study Fee (for families who have completed one adoption, including Adoption Study, through LSS) is $2,000 and is due at study completion.

International Program: $3,500
This fee is for in-country representative salary & expenses, translations, apostilles, program development, telephone/fax, postage.

NOTE: For families who utilize the international program/placement services of a LAN or other agency, the International Program Fee is $500.

Post-Placement Supervision Counseling: $1,500
Support and referral following placement of child (children). Includes reports to court, country and orphanages as required. Due upon return to the U.S. with child.
