Vietnam Program Temporarily Closed
As of September 1, 2008, the United States – Vietnam Bilateral Adoption Agreement (MOU) has expired. Both countries have expressed interest in resolving differences to allow future international adoption to transpire. However, until the MOU is reinstated or Vietnam ascends to the Hague Convention, this program will remain closed.

Please visit The Catalyst Foundation’s website @ www.catalystfoundation.org for opportunities to better the lives of children in Vietnam.

LSS is pleased to announce our new adoption program in Vietnam.

Our Vietnam Program Coordinator is Therese Bartlett, parent of two children adopted from Vietnam and author of When You Were Born in Vietnam. Therese will guide you through your adoption paperwork here in the United States and prepare you for traveling to Vietnam to meet your child. Catalyst Foundation, our in-country facilitators, were carefully selected for their excellent reputation and history of humanitarian aid work in Vietnam. Founder Caroline Ticarro-Parker (a Vietnamese refugee as well as the parent of twin girls adopted from Vietnam) leads our carefully selected, bilingual and caring staff in-country to ensure your experience there is one you’ll always treasure. This unique partnership offers you an experienced team of professionals. Together, we will guide you through every step of your adoption preparation and assist you in completing the process in Vietnam.

The children available for adoption from Vietnam are generally 4-12 months of age at the time of placement, but there are some toddlers and older children. Both boys and girls are in need of
